“This is a play on words in reference to Josef Albers homage to the square, where Albers investigated the way color changed through so many iterations. This idea frames the pages ahead, mined from my personal archive of classified ads and my time documenting NYC. The zine depicts a lost world of hope, deviance, horniness, and love fallen through the cracks of time. We once posted our missives in hopes of making connections. With time that print became a screen and that screen became hollow. An air of mystery is gone, only remonants remain. I look through dead print and draw the imaginary arrows that connect this history to me, the reader, your lover, and the city I call home. “ - The artist.
